Witchery Winter Mix

February 7, 2026

A Witchery Winter Mix. As I sit by my warm fireplace, practicing my writing (Yes, I know it needs a lot of practice!) I hear the frigid February weekend weather forecast on the radio.

“Expect some freezing rain and ice before a couple more inches of snow. The actual temperature will be hovering at or below zero. Plus, add to that 40 mph winds.” Brrrr…

I am reminded of an old saying that I don’t remember the exact wording of… But it goes something like this: “IT’S COLDER THAN A WITCH’S NOSE”!! (It is “nose”, right?)

Sitting by a toasty fireplace with a bowl of hot, homemade soup dipped from the cast iron cauldron, hanging over the flames, is the perfect Winter witching antidote! Or a common adult beverage may suffice as a potion in a pinch.

Soon, the Winter Witch (and her frozen “nose”) will disappear in a puff of frozen smoke, and the good Spring Witch will arrive on her warm breezy broomstick.

Fingers crossed. I’m staking on it.

Stay warm!
